Have you ever watched The Lord of the Rings’ or Game of Thrones’ epic fights without the sound on?
What is that element that engages us on all levels? It’s not just the *ting ting* of the swords, though that’s it’s own kind of satisfying. It’s the MUSIC! It can make or break how epic the fight is. An underscoring that compliments the action or action that matches a song (Guardians of the Galaxy or Kingsman, anyone?)
Interested in how we can play with this? Come check out our Intermediate/Advanced Sunday Seminar that will build an epic LONGSWORD fight to a pre-existing piece of music. You will need to keep the tempo and rhythm of the fight in sync with the music. This will be challenging as it must fit perfectly!
Time permitting, we will also explore how to take that same choreography and fit it into a different piece of music. Each pair of fighters will morph the choreography differently so even though it will be all the same moves, you’ll have very different fights!
