Combat on Camera: Film Fighting For Actors

The camera’s rolling on our next specialized Saturday track
This 6-week track will focus on bringing stage combat to the screen. It’s not enough to just throw a punch, you have to cover your angles and make sure those hits look convincing when the camera is rolling. Students will start by taking the punches and hits common to a film fight and learning how to ‘sell’ them depending on the shot and angle the camera placed.
Students will then apply that knowledge to fight choreography and learn to adjust the fight sequence for those different camera angles.

This track will run on Saturdays, April 15th to May 20th, from 1pm to 4pm.
This specialized track will be taught by NYCSS Instructor Kaitlyn Farley
