What happens when a knife faces off against a spear? Join us July 11th and find out! This seminar will cover the application of technique and skill when reach becomes the most important factor in your fight. Students will be given a fundamental introduction to knife and the spear (as well as a few tips and tricks in using their strengths and weaknesses) before moving onto using those weapons against each other in choreography. Battered & Bruised: How long Can You Go? (Sunday Seminar)

The fight has been going on for what seems like an eternity. You gave as good as you got but now you're brusied, beaten and exhausted. But the fight isn't over yet...   This choreography based class will explore a knife fight and a variety of ways to wound and injure your opponent without killing them. Students will focus on the acting choices possible when playin gthose wounds along with the exhaustion of a prolonged fight sequence. How long do you think you'll last?

Getting Bloody (Sunday Seminar)

A bloody mess is powerful tool for evoking a visceral reaction in your audience (plus, it's fun too!)   This class will cover: -How to make blood packs for broad spatter or directional hits. -How to “pop” them correctly (on the body & in the mouth). -Palming packs and Proximity packs -Various types of blood effects (liquid, powder & thick blood) -Learn how to make home made blood: for clothing, washable, edible, to simulate brain matter and more -If time allows, we will discuss rigging blood for arterial sprays.
